Electrical Licensure Courses

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Electrical classes below are ONLY for registered Electrical Apprentices who are currently working for Master Electricians. If you ARE NOT currently working as an electrical apprentice, you are ineligible for registration.

ELJ-1A, ELJ-2A, ELJ-3A, ELJ-4A, ELJ-MA (FALL)

Night: Tuesday, 6:30pm – 9:30pm

14 Weeks

Fall: September 13, 2022 – December 20, 2022

ELJ-1A – Class A (Journeyman) 0-75 Hours of 600 clock hours of classroom instruction – Module 1 of 8 per 237 CMR 22.01

ELJ-2A – Class A (Journeyman) 151-225 Hours of 600 clock hours of classroom instruction – Module 3 of 8 per 237 CMR 22.01

ELJ-3A – Class A (Journeyman) 301-375 of 600 clock hours of classroom instruction – Module 5 of 8 per 237 CMR 22.01

ELJ-4A – Class A (Journeyman) 451-525 of 600 clock hours of classroom instruction – Module 7 of 8 per 237 CMR 22.01

EL-MA – Class A (Master) 0-75 of 150 clock hours of classroom instruction – Module 1 of 2 per 237 CMR 22.02

Student must complete 75 hours. 84 hours will be available meaning students are allowed to miss no more than 3 classes. Students that do not complete 75 hours will not be given a certificate.

The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of basic home wiring. Discussed are areas such as electrical terminology, wire size, splicing, light boxes, and panels.
