This entry-level course will prepare students for the Second Firemen state license exam which is a written and oral examination administered by the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services.
Second class firemen are employed in hospitals, schools, utility plants, manufacturing plants and numerous other establishments that use high pressure boilers.

Individuals licensed to operate boilers under a special license shall demonstrate completion of 6 hours of continuing education at or through an institution or organization approved by the commissioner, in consultation with the chief inspector, during each 5- year period proceeding each license renewal.
