Have you ever wanted to take an old piece of furniture and give it a modern style?  Do you appreciate the craftsmanship of a favorite piece of furniture, but you know the fabric and padding is weak?  Do you enjoy working with your hands and seeing an old favorite become a final product that you fall completely in love with once again. Then maybe you have a special interest in upholstering and you should consider taking this elective course.

At GNBVTI, the upholstering course is offered for eight weeks in the Spring from the end of March until May.  In the course, a train upholster will teach you how to welt seam, naugahyde, refinish, and much more!  You are required to bring your piece of furniture the first night of class (no couches or loveseats), and you will be working on this piece to make it a new and beautiful final product that you can proudly say that you designed and refinished.
